You're just plain wrong. Kerry has no imperialist objectives. I know the guy. He abhores imperial presidencies like Bush and Nixon. He is for wars only when attacked and as a last resort. He would have chosen a much more surgical and internationalist option of handing Saddam. Saddam was a menace but not an imminent threat. Kerry would have waited and kept Saddam in a tight box.

That said, he would have to protect the oil supplies until such a time as we make the long overdue transition from oil to other forms of energy. To do this, we'll have to pick the lesser of two evils and build nuclear plants to make hydrogen energy. But also lots of other energy choices, like solar panels everywhere. In the meantime, within 5 years let's all try to be driving hybrids, and for now drive less and carpool.
