I agree with most of your post. The only difference I have with your post is that I think "we should get out ASAP" with the addition of "right after they hold a constitutional election and complete the training of enough Iraqi soldiers to defend that constitutional gov't." Then our job will be done and theirs will begin. If it fails after that, then we can say we made a lot of mistakes in the process, but we did what we could the Muslims in that part of the world just didn't embrace their opportunity. If we leave prior to that, then we aren't even giving it a fair shake.

If it's this confusing to you, and to me, imagine what it's like for our troops, that have to carry out this "policy". It's a mind fuck circle jerk of bad guys and good guys, with no logical end.

We never should have gone in... we need to get out ASAP. It's their country, self determination, let them figure it out.
