It's hard to make a statement without a definition, and it appears you don't have one. Look at the British Empire, talk about successful. I read somewhere (don't quote me on this) that at the peak 40% of the world's population was a part of the empire! Talk about successful (if empire is your goal). Simple question really, whats your definition of a successful government/country? John
