It is a crime and one that in fact exceeds WATERGATE which was nothing but the child's play snooping by one political party on an other

The big issue with Watergate was that the President committed the crime of obstructing justice. However, imho it is bizarre that Felt is - in some circles - thought of as some sort of a national hero -- because of his Deep Throating of his boss.

Felt inherited Hoover's covert operation of espionage against the White House and the upper layers of Government. Not only did he fail to disclose the existence of that operation, but he illegally disclosed important - illegally obtained - information.

Do 2 (or was it 3 or 4) wrongs make right? I can hardly think of a deeper undermining of the US government in it's entire history - by a public employee.... and yet, what Felt did seems to evoke very little criticism.
