No. I don't believe in absolute beliefs. Rights derive from self interest. When a culture is sufficiently civilized and rational, then that self interest will be reflected in rational and civilized ideas of human rights...as indeed it is in the United States and other similar societies.

Individual rights as we know them are recent to human experience. I have not been shy to admit that I support the current understanding. And the current understanding prevents any carving up of "inalienable" rights between a women and any cells which she may carry and nourish in her body. She may not be compelled to live her life for the benefit of anything which may attach to her system. She remains an individual with the right to live as she pleases provided she does not intrude on the rights of other citizens under the Constitution--from whence her rights (and the rights of other citizens) flow.
