I just liked Tommy Douglas period and I thought he was a great choice for the Greatest Canadian... It also gave me great hope that Canadians do not always fall victim of spin... Actually that is why I referenced Rex Murphy... He was pulling for Trudeau..

Edit: Some always vote left... some always vote right... I just want enough to use their heads...

cbc.ca :o)

BTW in the top 10
1 Tommy Douglas
2 Terry Fox
3 Pierre Elliott Trudeau
4 Sir Frederick Banting
5 David Suzuki
6 Lester B. Pearson
7 Don Cherry
8 Sir John A. Macdonald
9 Alexander Graham Bell
10 Wayne Gretzky

I see a few weak spots.... 3,5,7,10

then again Gretsky has one of my favourite quotes... and I'd say he is the strongest of the weak ones... Terry Fox would have been a great #1
