Of course. It was the only thing they can say. I even thought Kerry was a Bush puppet, much like Blair was called a lapdog. At that time, the public support was a frothily 90%. To say anything opposing the administration stand would have been a political suicide, even with the slightest hint opposing the official line. The same with ordinary people on the street. It was either follow the officialdom line of story or get branded a traitor. Nothing in between. It was such a state of mind. One could not even express a doubt. It was all made possible by and relied on the 911 incident. It was the greatest mass psychology marketing in the US. It will be exposed 25 or 50 years from now, when it would have insignificant consequences.
