If the Court had only cited 1 Kings 21:7 in it's decision, the conservatives would have been happy with the decision.

It's interesting that the left thinks this decision made it much easier for the wealthy to take the property of the poor. At the same time, the right thinks this decision made it much easier for the government to take from the wealthy and give it to everyone including the poor.

That is interesting. The poor have mostly been the object of takings with urban renewals. The middle class gets hit with utilities and road building. In New London it was the middle class that was taking the hit. The wealthy rarely take a hit.

It seems that the entire point is avoiding corruption and promoting due process. Aside from the references to Tianammen square, their point appears to be the problem of corruption.

Maybe. They're pretty liberal with Tianammen square, corruption, abuse, slippery slope ... I think they are trying to cover all the bases...I'm afraid to click on the link of the parallels of Kelo to Terry Schiavo.
