Well congratulations, you've finally made some suggestions (other than LEAVE NOW). The main problem with your fundamental view of I believe that each people/nation/culture has its own manifest destiny and that they should be allowed to reach that destiny on their own is that dictators deny those same people their collective "manifest destiny" and replace it with the dictator's "manifest destiny". Slaves almost always cannot realize any manifest destiny other than to remain slaves. Generally, outsiders (non-owners) free slaves. Or do you think it is the manifest destiny of the South Koreans to be a prosperous, democratic people, but its the manifest destiny of the North Koreans to be Kim Jong Il's slaves? That is obviously ridiculous. I believe doing an invasion and the ensuing war that inevitablity follows does more damage than good. We shall see. Without an invasion we would probably have Qusay running Iraq in 2020. With an invasion, we're going to get to see what happens to Iraq in 2020, and then have some idea of whether it was more beneficial than the stagnant, Sunni-led, Shia-enslaved society that Iraq become from 1980.
