The thing about Guckert is his access to the WH. It's not as if he was quietly dating someone there, he was able to ask questions of the President even though he wasn't a journalist.

The other thing about Guckert is his flamboyance especially in the face of the RNC's position about gays. It's pure, bizarre hypocrisy.

I also think this is true of the Cheneys and the Mayor of Spokane. It would have been so interesting if the corporate media had scrutinized Cheney's position on gay marriage. The rightwing loves him but they don't seem to understand that he is not against gay marriage.

Frankly, I doubt that being outted will do anything to Rove. The rightwing doesn't really care if he's a useful loyalist. Hypocrisy is part and parcel of the right wing. The RNC chair is gay, the co-chair is pro choice and the rightwing hasn't burst into flames yet.
