Sociopaths typically don't kill themselves. Hitler did because he knew the jig was up, and he could end it or go through a humiliating trial and have the allies end it. I think it would take similar circumstances for the chimp to spare us.

I don't really see anyone in the chimp administration that would have the honor necessary to take their own lives over their actions. None of the Nixon criminals did.
