If this lawsuit ends that, then, ond only then will AMD profit from Opteron.

Now that's clearly overstating things. AMD has been, and is, increasingly profiting from Opteron.

"No matter what the merits of Opteron, as long as Intel controls the OEMs, AMD will always be in peril. If this lawsuit ends that, then, ond only then will AMD profit from Opteron."

CPG division operating profit was $92M in Q1. I'm looking for a significant increase in OP in Q2, which, if eventuates, provides strong support for the contention of at least one poster here ;-) that AMD's CPG division has already entered its earnings/growth phase...and that's before any potential positive impact from the court case.

Opteron is already profiting with no small thanks to HP for promoting the HUMONGOUS Opteron SAP advantage. No amount of INTC "perception shaping" is likely to diminish growth of 2P and 4P Opteron servers in the near term, and hence growth in Opteron's profitability.
