As usual, you chose to truncate my statement to obscure what was really said. You left out this part:

I am going by the assertion of the original article that AMD would finish 2003 at or near zero actual overall earnings. If the actual numbers differ then so be it. The point remains that over it's entire lifetime AMD has earned close to nothing.

So I made clear what my assumptions were and I linked to my source in the original post. In fact the article's assumption on how 2003 would close out were incorrect and the number is more like +$272 Million as of EOQ1'05. So AMD has actually averaged roughly $7.5 Million per year for 36 years. Not good and "close to nothing" is still a fair statement.
