EACart,
Believe me I am not shorting this stock. In fact as a long I lost a ton of money (and I mean a ton of money) with this stock back in 2001-2002.

JDSU is not a "buggywhip" company. Not at all (at least not at the present time). The problem in my view is the market has bought too much of their technology which will last for years and years to come. And at some point in the future it is inevitablke for this technology to become obsolete. Now, if JDSU has the money and resources to keep up with whatever it is that would make their current technology obsolete then more power to them. However if they keep on losing money, an dcash and as the management gets older (and hence less aggresive) and as the employees end up having less of a moral as each day goes by, then they are doomed to follow a typical "buggywhip" company! :)

I personally would love to see JDSU move up so I can get on it again and recover at least a fraction of what I lost in it! :)
