For about two years Bushies refused to deal with North Korea. It's fine to take a hard line so long as you can back it up. But Bushies never had a military option, without potentially getting 300,000 Koreans killed, so why did they abandon the semi-effective Clinton policy?

Whatever their reasons, they were wrong and made us less safe.

Another theory is that to justify the huge wastes of money on Rumsfield pet project SDI, Bushies need an enemy with nukes to scare Americans. I wouldn't put that one past them.
