Someone on this thread quipped a couple of weeks ago that McCain sort of deserved his time as POW because he was a bad pilot. No gggs. And with the execption of Moemac, there was no public objection to the wisecrack about mccain from other threaders. But if someone disagrees with Unclewest, all hell breaks lose. Same with talk of generals that publicly disagree with rummy. They are all a bunch of bums according to our resident military geniuses or rummy apologistas. And its not always on FP although mostly. I think Lindsay Graham got nailed because of his participation in the gang of 12 over the filibuster. I sort of got killed yesterday for suggesting a SCOTUS compromise if Renquist decided/was persuaded to quit too with the now hated Gonzales getting one of the spots and one of the named conservative choices as the other--McConnell Roberts, the two Ediths. And i even thru Scalia in as CJ. Not good enough because of gonzales i guess. After all this is a politics thread and there is nothing better than speculating about backroom deals to resolve crisis. Thats why i loved the gang of 12 (and their creativity) so much in saving us from the nuke option.
