They want more artillery not less. The most hazardous SF combat missions have always been those outside a friendly artillery battery's firing fan. I used Arty as an example, of course. We won Afghanistan with SO using Air Power as Arty. It is very unlikely that we will ever have Special Ops under a conventional Arty fan in the future. I am very glad to see you in agreement on 2 and 3. While you were gallivanting around, I commented that this latest Seal fiasco was the second one I knew of in Afganistan. I think they are looking like a "fish out of water" there.
