Of course there are always what ifs: what if Clinton did not have fun with Monica, what if Al Gore chose a Southern Christian as his VP and not Lieberman. What if ... what if ...

Justice O'Conner was the last person in that what if. Her priority was: Party, Country and Family (and God must be somewhere there). She bent to the party's need over the constitution. And that is troubling her so that she stayed until 2005 so that a person other than Bush could choose her successor. History dictates otherwise, and tending her husband becomes her main focus. You could see her troubling expression on her face.

In my book she a grand lady. Unfortunately she made one mistake that turned the world around.
