I hear some good things about homeschooling myself but it is limited to an upscale demographich and is reflective of a failed public school system. Nothing in the success of homeschools should mitigate against working to imporove the public schools. IMHO, a robust public school system is the key to our future--homeschools like vouchers can play a role but cant replace. Mike
PS I am worried about the homeschool products lack of contact with other kids. Do folks who homeschool make special arrangements for their kids in this regard or are the products of the public schools viewed as dangerous influences? Just curious if you know--i have no knowledge on this either way.

I was myself homeschooled for my first one and a half years of highschool. The quality was excellent. It helps to be self-motivated. My wife was also homeschooled for several years in the late grades(5,6,7??).
