Yes, liberals tend to favor freedom of expression while conservatives tend to favor property freedoms.

In both cases, the world is interconnected. Liberals stress the economic interdependence, hence they want stronger governance of economic players, while conservatives stress the interdependence of expression, hence they want stronger governance of expression. I know of no theoretical body of knowledge that has clearly mapped these two issues out, and suspect that such knowledge lies a good ways in the future. For now, opinions on these subjects largely define political stripes.
