So you live in the phillipines - lucky devil! I want to go there. Are all the stories Slagle tells me true? I am fearful to go there for I worry I may never want to leave. hehe

While I will agree the phillipines is not america - I meet chicks from there all the time from online games and messenger programs - they would rather chat with random strangers and be attention hawgs than use that time to read the vast resources on the net to get smarter it seems. Many chat, play yahoo pool or scrabble, or watch comedy sites. A lot of energy is burned to keep them occupied. Honestly I don't understand how the thrill of 500 guys incessantly trying to get them to flash thier breasts on cam keeps them coming back day after day for a repeat - I would think after several years in the internet cafe they would grow bored with that - but they don't.

Many monkeys would rather be entertained than take initiative to learn it seems. So my hypothesis still holds true, even in the phillipines where you live, you can educate yourself or choose to be typical loafer who sits around not really doing much to advance yourself or others - just burning cycles. Sure we burn a lot of cycles here on SI, but I feel most want to learn or share what they have learned, not just chat about sillyness or play bejeweled like a less interested monkey.

Or is it this one? I can't tell where that movie takes place.

Or do you mean the "mamet speak" type sweet sixteen where they sell heroin? Even in that film the guy could have chosen reading books and the internet over drugs no?
