Do liberals remember that O'Conner was one of the SC votes for stopping the endless recounting in FL following the 2000 election?


Of course, she was quoted at a party saying that she had to vote for Bush because she was anxious to retire and didn't want Gore to pick the replacement. The merits of the case were secondary. Some other justices threatened to expose her and so she agreed not retire during the disputed term.

I think it is a sign of the radical times that most conservatives now don't consider her conservative enough for them. Too bad Attila the Hun is not alive and a judge lol
