having another dog around would lift the spirits of your ill pet. A friend brought a puppy into her home when her long time dog was aging and losing it's ability to live. The puppy was full of spunk, but the older dog did its best to keep up and do some playing. I think they forget how wonderful it is to just be a dog with all of the suffering. That dog went on to live another two years and died just last year at the age of 17. We all think it would have died earlier if that puppy hadn't been around to egg it on into some real delightful doggy play. Best......
