Quit BS'ing HAL was the only company that could do the job. That's just totally untrue. Many companies would have loved to have competed for that contract, and would have done just as good a job. Schlumberger for instance could have handled all the oilfield work. A whole list of them.

If case you hadn't noticed it was Cheney who made the decision, the CEO of Halliburton who still has stock options and an ongoing salary from HAL. Total corruption. So obvious. Quit supporting such odious behavior.

Good point. That is why consolidation of market power should be aggressively fought.
