Again, I don't know what particular judge or ruling he was referring to, but it seems obvious that he did not mean, as you suggested, that we literally have no laws - only that laws become meaningless if judges disregard them. Whether or not you disagree with his conclusion about that judge or ruling, given whatever set of facts led him to draw it, it's a real reach to find anything moronic about the statement itself. And unless you also show where he took an opposite position earlier, which you haven't done, there's nothing ironic about it either.
