I have always maintained that I was merely pointing out that the statement that there were NO WMDs found was false.

Then I'll point out the statement that "you're beginning to sound like Elroy" was also false.

My SI has no sound.

Meanwhile, people here that were planning to go to London for business this weekend, are mostly no longer going. Sell travel stocks...

Nope. I never said that finding 1 WMD is justifcation for the war. I have always maintained that I was merely pointing out that the statement that there were NO WMDs found was false.

For me, one or two examples does not make the statement that there are no WMDs in Iraq false. Chemicals like sarin or anthrax can be found anywhere......in small labs or even peoples' homes. To claim that there were WMDs in Iraq because traces of sarin or anthrax were found means nothing to me. Finding a nuke centrifuge means nothing as well. It is simply a remnant from before the Kuwait war.

The whole point of going to war was to short circuit Saddam's alleged efforts to stockpile WMDs. That is the only point of merit in this discussion. In fact, 99.99% of Iraq's had been accounted for by 1998. There was no stockpiling in evidence. Bush lied. And in doing so has stuck a stick into a roiling beehive that has made living in Iraq a virtual hell.
