re: Yikes. What do you do.....take a little bit of one post and a little bit of another and from that develop a theory?

He's Mr. Straw-man, and he's desperate. They all are. All the times they've claimed they were right have come to nothing. Iraq is a quagmire and a disaster on every level, the new terrorist training ground, billions spent and 1000's of lives wasted, terrorists are bombing London, oil prices are through the roof supporting their religious enemies, Bush approval ratings going down a point a day, China buying US energy companies and their oil reserves with our current account deficit, Rove getting caught for what he is, Bush abandoning the religious right on the Supreme Court/Abortion issue (showing what suckers they were to vote for him), the huge Bush budget deficits, the Bush lies... it just goes on and on and on.

They can make their straw-man arguments against the smart people that continuously warned them but they know they are BS in the face of the reality. At some point in time they are going to have to face up to their mistake, they know that, and it's making them miserable.

John

Ted, the Buchanan doctrine can be summed up in two words: Fortress America. No more excursions to Iraq, no more support of Israel, not even a single soldier in South Korea or Okinawa anymore. We pull out of Afghanistan and apologize to the natives there for "nation-building" without the Taliban's permission. We also uproot our bases in Germany and other parts of Europe and kick the U.N. out of Manhattan. Then we close our borders and tell Mexico to keep their problems on their soil.

Other than the U.N. part, do you believe in the Buchanan doctrine? If not, what do you believe in?
