No. Islam provides a very special place for violence, even though it is off to the extreme right. Peace, jihad (striving), defending Islam, violence. It's a recipe for disaster from which even the Muslims cannot protect themselves. Any system that accepts individual violence is going to end up as a victim of it's own tolerance of violence. Once you open up Pandora's box, you can't really close the lid because joe salafi is going to blow up someone that doesn't meet his standards of purity.

The clerics really need to apply much more thought to the universalism of Islam. They keep inviting intolerance and violence into their culture as radicals actualize the whole prding ocess of jihad purification to become the perfect Muslim. The fine line between defending your faith and blowing up innocent people - Muslims, Christians, and Jews, needs to be expressly forbidden by all clerics in their fatwahs.
