You made my point. Global demographics. There are just billions of semi skilled and increasingly better educated people competing for the jobs Americans used to have a lock on. There is no going back. Perot was right, but could not stand against corporations.

Which answers the second question.
The citizenry gets no real benefit, just trinkets. The winners are the already wealthy - and those who will profit are those willing to go along to get some more, whatever it takes.

We are training ourselves to become carnivores... those not willing to play will be drowned and the preditors will say "good riddance! Got rid of another loser!" What they are overlooking is that it does not have to be this way. We are choosing to make it this way - on one hand by corporate greed, and on the other by citizen compliance. The Sheeple will get what they're paying for: nothing.

Serve the rich or become them.
That's the word of wisdom for the next twenty five years, imho.
