90% of moslems are good citizens of the countries they live in but 10% are risky. 10% number worries me more.

Being an elected member of a party is far more linkage than simply being a member of a religion, or even a specific church.

The leadership of a party conveys common values. Bad public conduct, especially public attacks on the opposition by such leadership are presumed to be the collective opinion of the party. In such a case it is reasonable to constrew silence as consent.

In the case of the Catholic religion, in America one would be somewhat silly to presume the positions of American Catholics is in lockstep with the positions of the Church leadership. The Muslim faith is far more divergent in leadership. I would presume and hope most Muslims would shake their heads in dismay when they hear of such evil acts of terror.
