I have nothing personal against rummy at all. I agree with UW that we dont have enough manpower and the blame does lie predominately with clinton for that. But we have not corrected the situaion--instead we have learned to live with it and that has worked less well than rummy thought it would. Now its harder to recruit so the clinton problem is compounded. Unless we are willing to pull folks out of korea and germany, i dont know where more troops come from. And then of course there is the politics at home to consider. We just cannot ignore the homefront where there are real doubts. To blame MSM is just not enough. mike
