Christ is the bridegroom, and his Church is the bride, correct? "they are no more twain, but one flesh. what therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." therefore Christ and his bride the Church cannot be divided or torn asunder. they are one body, for which he is the head. "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." now if Christ is in the midst of his Church, we have to ask where Christ is. Christ is in heaven, no? if Christ is the head of the body and we the Church are his members, we cannot sever the head from the body, right? therefore we the members of his body are joined to Christ reigning with him in heaven, no? [But God]...hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (Ephesians 2:6) so you see, if you continue on reading Ephesians chapter two... Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: (Ephesians 2:19-21) so the Church is the holy temple of God, built on the rock--Jesus Christ. now if Christ is reigning in heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father, and we are reigning along with Christ, then this spiritual temple of God must reach unto heaven as well...for Christ the head cannot be separated from his Holy Church the body of Christ. if the body of Christ existed solely on earth, and Christ solely in heaven, then they would not be joined as one body, correct? the head Christ would be severed from his body, the Church. therefore we know that the spiritual temple of God is made up of us lively stones, a true spiritual tower whose top may reach unto heaven with Christ the head crowned on top. now, the fallen angel sought to ascend above the heights of the clouds; he seeks to be like the most High, showing himself to be a master imitator. but the most High has other plans for the tempter... How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground... so the Almighty will not allow the devil to imitate him in spiritual things, hence the deceiver is relegated to imitating the Lord in carnal earthly things. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven...the tower of babel is the counterfeit earthly temple built by the children of men... in imitation of... "a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11:10) "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it:" (Psalms 127:1) the tower of babel was in vain... the earthly zionist project will be in vain... the spiritual temple whose builder is the Lord, built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and his prophets and apostles is the only true tower whose top may reach unto the heavenly mount Zion and the heavenly Jerusalem.
