ild, I plotted the real Fed Funds Rate and it is still very accommodative.

The only other period with sustained negative real FF rates was the late '70s ... and that was because the FED was chasing inflation. The end result was ugly for a few years.

I think the FED still has a ways to go. This time we have serious imbalances and a housing bubble. I don't see how we can achieve a soft landing - but I hope the FED proves me wrong.
