i think they're making money and if you like
a southwest style home on a scottsdale, az.
country club with a pleasant winter climate and a
gated neighborhood full of old, well to do norte
americano gringos... then these are cheaper
than palm springs, san diego or scottsdale.
this loreto bay (or nopolo) is about 15 km
south of loreto. there's no town, it's just
a country club.

OTOH, the town of loreto is a very nice place
with people of all kinds walking around...
INCLUDING ACTUAL MEJICANOS! and mclulu's
fish tacos are the greatest:

i know you know this because you've been there.
i was just reminding mice elf.

mannie-

our friend peter, whose 5th wheel we stayed
in when we went to loreto was in mexico last
march.

he's selling out.

not just nopolo, but loreto proper has changed
hugely with the development that is happening and
the influx of u.s dollars and influence. no longer
quiet little mexican town - it now caters to and
responds to big u.s. bucks - the entire character
has changed according to him. they don't like it
anymore and he and his wife will seek out other
unspoiled locations on the baja if they can
find them.

its too bad.

it was a great spot.

like polvie said - there goes the neighbourhood.
