If there is no way to know these things then the logical choice would be to err on the side of caution The moment of birth is well within the margin of error. Self awareness doesn't show up until a couple of years later, at least. Viability is really another misuse of language. No fetus or even small child is viable alone, they need much care. On the other hand a sperm and egg are viable long before conception, maybe hundreds of years if properly frozen. Viability is just a property of chemistry, not of humanity. TP
