I am lucky. Not much as far as electrical storms that affect them here. I have had mine for years and the only time it goes out is when I use my microwave. I have to get a new one.

Check your signal level. get it to 105 and you will have good service. if it is 70 to 85 it was the installers fault for not peaking the signal.

Call dish and complain. They will send a tech out if you sign up for the service plan. Cheaper than a service call if you have to pay for it.

Seriously, mines great.

I don't do dish. Me thinks aliens come in between the signals and technological stuff way over our heads.
