considers humanity to be according to measures of brain function. You missed much of the discussion. If humanity were just DNA strands then that is where the idea that a detached hair folicle or shaving debris must be a separate human. If there is anything that truly separates humanity from the animals it is self awareness. What a piece of work is man, how noble in reason. How infinite in faculties! In form and moving, how express and admirable. In action, how like an angel. In apprehension, how like a god!
