A couple weeks ago I was talking about how my little
refrigerator inside our camper works using a heat source
such as a flame from propane or electric heating coil.
There isn't the usually compressor, etc.

Anyhow it got me thinking how I might be able to generate
electricity from a wood stove with a similar process.

Unfortunately the invention I was trying to devise has
already been invented...

...about 200 years ago...

it's called the stirling engine. <g> <ng>

I'm sure glad I didn't spend any time trying to re-invent
it. <g>

Besides, I think Dean Kamen would probably do a better job at
it.

I haven't heard much new about his stirling engine that is
supposed to be able to distill polluted water.
