Stalin, a Biography, by Robert Service.
Gotta be honest, I read a biography of
Hitler that was twice as long and twice
as good. I cannot recommend this book.

Also, the nine hours or whatever I sat
through Shoah was nine hours well spent.
I cannot say that about this book. A
history of Russia would have been a
better choice. 25 million Soviets died
in World War II--I read this book and
did not feel a thing.
