I believe it. Modern macroeconomics will tell you that the perfect medicine for a recession is interest rate and tax cuts as well as heavy gov't spending. That is what Greenspan and Bush did. Now, I thought Bush's tax cuts favored the rich, so I didn't like the cuts to the rich that he managed to get passed and I didn't like the magnitude and longevity of the deficits, but the combination of all of that have done the trick. Now the economy is doing great, which will ultimately close the deficit and get those jobs back. The key is cutting back on deficit spending asap and hoping oil or terrorist attacks won't kill the economy.
