Utopia doesn't exist in government. No government in history has ever been 100% honest and fair. But Kerry's White House have been as close as we could hope for. I know Kerry. He's honest in a deep-down way that makes it practically impossible for him to BS anyone including himself. Indeed, don't count Kerry out. Vegas is giving 41-1 odds he'll be prez in 2008. I'd take those odds. I see it more like 4-1. Power always has a corruptive influence and you have to accept some of that in any government. But Bush-Cheney have taken that corruption beyond any acceptable standards. They seem to be setting a standard which says "he who cheats and lies the most wins". Not a good lesson for our kids. The harder they come, the harder they call. Get rid of the Bushies and that's a huge step back to ethical government, smart policies and overall wisdom and fairness.
