your words imply that you are a roman catholic. shall i reprove you with a letter from St. Jerome to St. Augustine, the two most highly exalted Fathers of the roman catholic church? You can try. First, the letter does not respond to your intrepretation of the passage in question. Second, St. Jerome was not a theologian. The Church recognizes St. Jerome for his translation of chapters in the Old Testament from Hebrew and some writings regarding the Old Testament. His writings on the New Testament are considered mediocre to poor. jttmab
