Bush-Cheney told so many lies about the danger of Saddam that their noses are three feet long by now. If you don't believe me look at the quote of Cheney in particular during the run up to the war. Cheney told us specifically that Saddam has a vibrant nuclear program, had tons of WMD's, was in league with Al Qaida and was an imminent threat to the USA. None of it was true. This had nothing to do with Clinton or Kerry's plan to make sure Saddam was disarmed through intensive inspections, international pressure, bombing and intelligence operations, as the very last resort, forcible regime change with a clear post-invasion plan first. Osama and Al Qaida were the priorities. Bush-Cheney didn't think so though. They told us Saddam was the priority. That turns out to be not only false but impeachable.
