Depends on what you strike in Mecca...

I mean, leave the Kaaba intact, at least for a starter and just prove your point by taking out something less important lower on their holy ranking list.

Since (pseudo) religion seems to be such a big part of the current terror war against us infidels, I also have a hunch we need to hit back right in the heart of it which certainly leads to symbolic targets closely related to the Muslim religion.

Rather than nuke Meccah, why not nuke Jerusalem? It's got the third holiest place in Islam, and its removal would solve a lot of the religious land battle.
