Abolish the lifetime appointment in favor of a 12-year duty. I agree. We have the example of a ailing Rehnquist right before us.

The Schiavo case taught us we cant trust the far right activists with our judicial branch or our personal privacy decisions. These include sexual, reproductive and life-death familiy decisions. A large majority of Americans, including many conservative evangelicals, now agree with this. Roe v. Wade is supported by 65% of the country. Abortion should not even be a issue anymore as RU-486 makes them practically obsolete. The far right hates RU-486 because it takes away their abortion issue, on which they raise millions of dollars and spur hatred against rational thinking people.
