Ah - but if you go in with a major problem - or wait because you are uninsured, then go into an emergency room - you may come out with a 10-20K bill. Low income people would never pay that off.

Look, that is not a fair way to run things. If you think it is, then we fundamentally disagree on how we look at things. I don't know your age, but how would you feel if older people say 70 were in poor health, and told that they were not covered with health insurance? Too bad - they can die? Just curious.
So why should it be different for working Americans that are not retired, and their children?

i personally know people who have put off going to the doctor/dentist because of the issues with health insurance. These are not bums, or below average people - but people that perform at the top of the office they are in - and are paid for it. But, for many reasons, small business has a hard time getting insurance even. Right now they can be dropped for no reason - and take up to 6 months to get new insurance - IF they can find an insurance company to take them.

In the meantime, people without insurance coverage go without, and in pain for months - because they cannot afford to go to the dentist or doctor - making the final truth much worse.

This is no way to treat people. If you can't acknowledge that, then in my book you are not truly a civilized human being - sorry but that's what I think.

?? What say you?

By the way - you are wrong on Medicaid. You have to be below a certain income level for that, usually with children. Almost no one working would qualify, so you are wrong again.

I hope you think over your position, and have some human decency for once, on a Sunday even man.

I am almost nauseous reading posts from selfish greedy people like you. I am sick of it. If you cannot acknowledge even basic health care as a right for everyone in this country - then I can only hope that someday you are in a situation where you need care, and cannot afford it. Maybe then you will rethink your principles that money is the most important issue in life.
