I've been thinking about that. Will it be so bad if Iraq splinters into 3 countries? The only thing holding it together as a unified country is the will of it's neighbors and the international community. But it seems like a better status quo would be a kurdish north a sunni center and a shiite south, each ruled by themselves.

I don't care what the Iraqis do........I just know that it will lead to more fighting in which I don't want Americans to be participating. That's my one and only concern. The Iraqis will do what they must.
