It is not "GOD and COUNTRY" as you think. Else they would have prevailed in the Terry Schiavo case. All those GOD and COUNTRY were already booted out with the passing away of Terry.

In 2008, the Repubs would need another war and a Gay marriage issue on the state ballots to mobilize their base.

The question is WHICH God. Some people go with Shiva the Destroyer but I'm more of a tradionalist and prefer Thor the God of Thunder.

Also there is the issue of which country ....
