Wharf Rat Wins Nobel Peace Prize

Stockholm, Sweden 7/11/05
AP newswire

The Nobel Prize Committee announced today that the 2005 winner of the Alfred Nobel Peace Prize is Mr. August West, the official wharf rat of the NNBM bar. Mr West was honored for his efforts to restore the civil in civil war.
At a midmorning press conference, Mr. West said that he visualizes whirled peas, and hopes to to bring a can back to America.
Mr. West shocked the jaded reporters when he announced that he would donate his entire $1.25 million prize to the Care to Help Foundation. He stated that he would rather be a wharf rat than a wharf owner, because he meets a better class of people that way.
There will be a Ripple Reception in honor of the Wharf Rat at the NNBM bar this evening.
