That makes sense as well. The longer over the water, the stronger it will get. I seem to remember tracking them a few years ago and I forget why, but I would see 10 to 15 storms lined up from Africa to the Gulf. 90% bounced out off the coast and out to sea. Occasionally Bermuda would get hit.
